Ephesians 6:10-20
Ephesians: Built to Last - Part 15

* (Apologies for the audio quality on the video not being as good this week, due to some technical difficulties)

This week, pastor Don looks at the subject of our spiritual armour. He reminds us of the nature of the battle we are in and therefore the material of our armour is not physical, but spiritual in nature. Paul refers not to the armour of a Roman soldier, as some would imagine, but rather to the many instances in the Old Testament that remind us of the spiritual nature of the Christian's armour. Pastor Don reminds us that because of this fact, we as followers of Jesus are in trouble, because our enemy, the devil or Satan, knows that his time is limited. Therefore, he will seek any and every method he can think of to throw us off the target and make us ineffective. Knowing our enemy and his strategies is a key element to being able to use the armour to its full effect. The area of prayer and the mind of the Christian will therefore be a key area of attack for Satan and his demons. Thus we need to be on guard and 'put on' those aspects of the Lord's armour that have relevance in this area in particular.
