Ruth 1, 1 Samuel 1, Hebrews 11
Judges Part 21 - Closing Thoughts

Wrapping up a monumental series on the book of Judges that pastor Don embarked upon in February this year, we take a look at the opening chapters of the two books following Judges and also look at Hebrews 11 for some context and the lessons we should have been learning as we made our way through the book of Judges.

When we consider the Judges, we see strong men & women made weak. In Ruth & 1 Samuel we read of weak men & women who reckon on God being with them.

In Judges, the theme was a people who 'did what was right in their own eyes'. In the subsequent books, we begin to see individuals who seek God's will, not their own and who are prepared to lay everything else aside so that God's will might be accomplished, even their own pleasure and desires.

Will we do faith in a radical way like Ruth, Naomi, Hannah & Samuel? Are we prepared to let others see our faith in action?

When you wake up tomorrow, will you reckon God into your day?
